On top of that I was raised in a household full of books and knowledge. I have been reading on the subject since i was seven.

I believe in evolution, however i also believe that the universe works in ways that newtonian physics, darwinian evolution and freudian psychology, and 'our' general western framework of reality, is lacking something. They all fail to answer the questions of how it started, what consciousness is and what life is. I believe it likely the "self organization" theory holds true as to the origin of life.

As for the creator god, that i'm unsure about, how all this started. The best physics has to offer is the big bang (ie. something from nothing), and i'm cool with that as I've read the evidence.

I am of the persuasion that the whole of the universe is a constantly evolving conscious entity, and we are, with our consciousnesses, in a way microcosms of it.

Also, i have the proof of my own experience. I know science doesn't like that as an answer to anything, after all anecdotal evidence is no evidence at all. But i continue my search for knowledge wherever and however i can, my mind changes.

I'm not anti-science, at all, the scientific method is the only way we can discover things. Investigation, observation, experimentation, controls and repetition.
I am against closed minds who look to the science texts and immediately refute without looking into it themselves. I used to be one, until i started questioning the fabric of reality and my place in it.

Think about it, long and hard, what are you? a human, an ape, a collection of ever changing molecules and atoms, a temporary coherent energy field that is somehow self-aware. Does your consciousness exist inside your body? or is it somehow non-local or detachable? What are your thoughts? how do they relate to that conscious observer inside? where do you begin and end? what is emotion? How can you explain states of being such as ecstasy, transcendence, meditation, out of body experiences?
And a host of other questions.

I believe they all have answers. It's just that the answers seem to (at this stage) not tally with the materialist western model. Which only really means the western model needs tweaking.

perhaps my last statement was over the top with the beyond thought and reason thing. I believe in time, and with open minds, we will have a better understanding, but we're steeped in tradition and that causes trouble when you're looking at the foundations of reality.

Mostly though, I'm bored and writing stuff on the internet.

I have nothing against you whatsoever, you are me. If you want to redefine the word "god" to mean universe/everything, then so be it, but masking this simple fact in complex words doesn't lend it any spirituality or mysticism.
